A little prep goes a long way. Before our truck arrives, make sure your site is accessible and ready for placement. Here's what to know so delivery goes smoothly.
Shipping containers have doors on one end. Let us know which way you want them facing when we place the unit. Doors can face toward the truck cab (placed last) or toward the rear (placed first). Think about how you'll access the container once it's on the ground.
The trailer and container together can weigh over 50,000 lbs. The ground needs to be firm, dry, and level to prevent sinking. Concrete, asphalt, compacted gravel, or railroad ties work best. Soft or muddy ground can cause delivery issues.
Our delivery truck needs room to enter your property and maneuver into position. For 40 foot containers, the trailer is 53 feet long and cannot make sharp turns from narrow roads or tight entrances. Clear any parked cars, check for low power lines, and make sure there's a path to the drop spot.
Once on site, the truck needs a clear straight path to tilt and place the container. For a 20 foot container, you'll need at least 65 feet of clearance. For a 40 foot container, plan for at least 110 feet. The path should be 15 feet wide and 18 feet high with no obstructions.
